1 cucumber

1 bunch broccoli

1 Gravenstein Apple

1 Valencia orange

4 Bartlett pears

4 red pluots

1 box mission figs

1 pound red potatoes

I sadly don’t have much to say about this box again, because we were out of town and also home with company for a lot of these 2 weeks. The box got sort of pushed aside. I did eat most of the fruit, the cucumber, and the broccoli. The figs are still around, not sure what will happen to them.

If I had thought to take a picture, the potatoes ended up being the most interesting part of this box. My mother in law made a really tasty cold salad out of them. It was boiled potatoes cut into wedges with blanched green beans, red peppers, and raw sweet onion. Tossed with some olive oil, salt, pepper, and red wine vinegar for those who wanted that. I really loved it and ate the leftovers up quick. Hopefully I’ll remember to make that again, and maybe try out some different seasonings on it, too.

I’ve been really busy with baking orders on top of all the traveling and house guests so I haven’t had much time to play with cooking or experimenting. I did, however, make a cake for my in-law when they were here. So there’s that.

It was a white cake with chocolate mousse inside and chocolate ganache outside. 4 of us demolished that in just a few days.
