My parents came out for their annual visit to us in California, and we all took a long weekend road trip into the Sierras! First stop of the trip was the ghost town of Bodie to walk around and see the remains of the buildings exactly as they were over a century ago. That was pretty cool. Second stop was to Mono Lake to check out the unique tufas.
The next day we drove Tioga pass and did a whirlwind tour of Yosemite mostly by car. We hit up the visitor’s center, viewed El Capitan, Half Dome, and walked out to Bridalveil Falls and Glacier Point. That’s pretty much the highlights right there. Eric and I bought an annual pass since it seems this is the year everyone wants to visit Yosemite. We’re going back with his parents in a couple weeks and then potentially again with our friend Jeremy in October. And the pass is still good until next August!
We had a fabulous visit with my parents overall and did other things, too, like go to the gym and have a small birthday dinner for my mom. But here are some photos from our weekend road trip.
